مردم ایران در سراسر جهان در 21 دسامبر شب یلدا را جشن می گیرند

 Shab-e-Yalda is the longest night of the year.

شب یلدا طولانی ترین شب سال است

Yalda means birth and it refers to the birth of the Mitra; the mythological goddess of light.

یلدا به معنای تولد است و به تولد میترا اشاره دارد. الهه اساطیری نور

on this night, Iranians celebrate the renewal of the sun and the victory of light over darkness.

در این شب، ایرانیان تجدید خورشید و پیروزی نور بر تاریکی را جشن می گیرند

On Shab-e-Yalda, people gather in groups of relatives or friends to celebrate by eating nuts, fruits especially pomegranate and watermelons, reading Hafez poems, and making good wishes.

در شب یلدا، مردم در گروه‌هایی از اقوام یا دوستان گرد هم می‌آیند و با خوردن آجیل، میوه‌ها به‌ ویژه انار و هندوانه، خواندن اشعار حافظ و آرزوهای خوب، جشن می‌گیرند

They believe watermelon symbolizes the sun and pomegranate is also a symbol of birth and its bright red seeds symbolize the glow of life.

آنها معتقدند هندوانه سمبل خورشید و انارسمبل تولد و دانه های قرمز روشن آن سمبل درخشش زندگی است

Shab-e-Yalda is one of the most ancient Persian festivals that is officially added to  Iran’s List of National Treasures in 2008.

 شب یلدا یکی از قدیمی ترین جشن های ایرانی است .که در سال 2008 رسماً به فهرست گنجینه های ملی ایران اضافه شد
